Nike x Sean Wotherspoon AM97/1

It feels like it's been a lifetime since the AM97/1 won 2017's 'Vote Forward' contest (if you missed it, here's the full list of entries) but we're only a few days away from the official worldwide release.

As one of the world's foremost collectors of vintage shoes and apparel, Sean Wotherspoon created the Air Max 1/97 SW for 2017's Vote Forward competition—and won. The voter-approved design channels his passion for '80s culture while drawing influence from vintage corduroy caps, his native Virginia and LA, and his two favourite sneakers: the Air Max 1 and the Air Max 97.

This is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the last few years and the popularity of the samples have no doubt kicked off the current 'hybrid' trend we're seeing from Nike, mixing and matching uppers and sole units across the Air Max range.

The Wotherspoon AM97/1 is only available in limited quantities – although this is rumoured to be as high as 250,000 worldwide – The Sole Supplier has compiled a complete list of online raffles to give you the best chance of getting your hands on a pair.
